Wedding Spotlight: John & Hannah

This past weekend I had the honor of being part of John and Hannah's big day.  John reached out to me over a year ago because they attended a wedding I was preforming at and he knew right away that I was going to be their DJ too - the only catch, John and Hannah wanted the music to be music to be all songs before the 1990's.  While I initially advised against it, John and Hannah insured me that their friends and family would love it too.  Here is a recap of their wedding reception and a a glimpse into their unique playlist for the night:

The Venue:

Built in 1849, the Oxford Community Arts Center, located on the Miami University campus, was a beautiful site for John & Hannah's wedding reception.  This venue was originally built as one of three women's colleges in the Oxford area.  In it's time it has also served as a women's dormitory for MU students.  The OCAC is part of the national register for historic buildings and is used now for it's theatre, classrooms, studios for local artists, and of course it's ballroom and parlor for private events and weddings.
